I had a theory that all the Disney remakes of the last few years were setting up for another copyright push.

  1. Get a reputation for high-quality remakes using beloved properties
  2. Branch out Marvel-style into niche properties
  3. Include really early stuff like Steamboat Willy somehow
  4. Use that as leverage for the continued value of the IP?

Clearly, that hasn’t really panned out.

I think they were trying to change their strategy from reselling the same contentto new generations to selling new retellings of each story to a generation, but I'm not really that good an observer on this.

Just happy things will continue to be made public again. Not even Disney stuff, there's so much more out there.
