With apologies to our many friends and posters outside the United States... it's time for another one of these! Culture war thread rules apply, and you are permitted to openly advocate for or against an issue or candidate on the ballot (if you clearly identify which ballot, and can do so without knocking down any strawmen along the way). "Small-scale" questions and answers are also permitted if you refrain from shitposting or being otherwise insulting to others here. Please keep the spirit of the law--this is a discussion forum!--carefully in mind.
If you're a U.S. citizen with voting rights, your polling place can reportedly be located here.
If you're still researching issues, Ballotpedia is usually reasonably helpful.
Any other reasonably neutral election resources you'd like me to add to this notification, I'm happy to add.

Notes -
Every prime number president has been a Republican since the inception of the party:
17 - Johnson*
19 - Hayes
23 - Harrison
29 - Harding
31 - Hoover
37 - Nixon
41 - Bush
43 - Bush
47 - Trump
*Johnson ran as Lincoln's vice president on the ticket of the short-lived National Union Party.
I've heard this before

Really shows how easy it is to mine out a one in a thousand result.
By my calculation the raw probability, assuming 50/50 odds per trial, is about equivalent to a z-score of 3. As a heuristic for correcting for mining and p-hacking effects, there is a tongue in cheek expression that's something like "50% of all 3-z results are wrong."
So you're saying there's a 50% chance God is speaking to us through numerology?
In reference to the prime 137:
Primes are pretty freaky.
If the fine structure constant was 137 it would have been so incredibly exciting. It would be obvious that there was some incredibly deep connection between number theory and the basic structure of the universe, just sitting right in front of us waiting for us to discover it!
But no, the fine structure constant is 137.036 minus a smidge. What the hell, God?

Speaking of pattern matching, I also noticed that every election year ending with ‘4’ has been a big year for Republicans since Reagan’s victory in 1984.
