Astroturfing is easy to blame for outcomes because it externalizes blame - we don't need to change we just need to stop the evil baddies from doing their bad thing and our Good Easy Moral Message will come forth! The standing principle is noninterference. I dont care that you dont care. If I care thats my problem not yours. The right is perfectly capable of rejecting the worst excrsses by its own terms: the expulsion of the wrongthinkers is proof of the right not being held hostage to every crazy statement within its base. That Myron Gaines or Fuentes or other random fuckwits claim to the banner of the right and have admiring listeners is immaterial, they are not thought leaders within the right wing intellectual ecoststem.
The left on the other hand does NOT abandon a single one of the maximalist positions advanced by their problematics is precisely the problem they have. Trump can happily go "I love gays" and prance with a rainbow flag and no one grouses much. The left CANNOT abandon a single position at all without being outflanked by a screeching progressive.
Maybe the issue is that the right protects its people, while the left protects "its"ideas. Kiss the ring and JD Vance gets to be Trumps jester. Question trans maximalism and the DSA smells blood in the water.

The moderate left exists to provide reputational cover for the progressive left and the moderates are too cowardly to stand up to the progressives. Biden bails out the teamsters as an expensive reward but also issues communiques with language about birthing persons latinx, opens the border for millions of illegal migrants while pretending that border encounters are what people care about and threaten title ix trans compliance for school funding. 2014 was the Michael Brown shooting where a criminal who resisted arrest by grabbing a policemans gun was transformed into a gentle giant backing away slowly saying 'hands up dont shoot'. Facts of the cases never mattered before but the unreality being canon is new.
Incidentally this was around the time Cops had a major network shift and stopped being "boys in blue chasing a black guy in a wife beater through picket fences". I can't definitively prove that this was a major factor in the great awokening but it sure seems related somehow.

We aren't elcor who need to prefix our emotional framing with our statements, we can simply read a statement in its isolation and make the value judgment. It should be pointed out that 'Great. I love Hitler' is about as anodyne a statement as 'Great. I love mac and cheese', meaning context is actually necessary to understand the totality of that statements value and renders the statement useless as a singular point of evidence. If you have to ask 'what did you mean when you said you love hitler' it means that 'i love hitler' has been so degraded as a totalizing phrase that you can't make any associated terms stick with it. That is entirely the lefts fault for making Everything I Don't Like Is Hitler.

If the turing test for denying wrongthink can be made by people on this board then the turing test isn't especially useful as a gauge, just like the actual turing test is just copeslop for teacher pets obsessed about their defining characteristic of intellect being supplanted by fancy calculators.
Also, how does one assess what other people are actually perceiving in their mental reward mechanism? This typical mindedness is especially uncharitable, and runs the serious risk of overinterpreting basic metaphor for much deeper meaning simply to fit ones own biases. Ironically the most likely rogue state China is concerned about is North Korea, and that damocles hanging over South Korea and Japan is equally aimable at China. Pakistan falling would see India or Israel get nuked by jihadis, Russia falling would probably see Israel or USA get the brunt of it. I agree in concept since thats just an obvious operational reality like how china got H100s through alternative sources, but ultimately it still means its a critical bottleneck that was neither defended against nor avoided in advance.
I think its fair to say that this forum accepts the disadvantages of immigration as prima facie but the cultural overhang of the 2010s is casting a shadow too long and comprehensive to be avoided. I sincerely think the Chinese century will be worse for the world, mainly because the global efficiency subsidy of the pax americana has benefitted many smaller nations that would have fought unnecessary kinetic conflicts without uncle sams threat Implication. China is more likely to revert to a neo-Ming semi tributary system to focus on its internal population and if the rest of the world burns in unnecessary conflict what impact could it have on the heavenly kingdom.

Much of the REE debate is centered on critical dependencies that have turned out to be more difficult to replace or domestically produce than previously anticipated. The big issue I repeat is that rare earth dependency is not actually that sophisticated a tool for China to have deployed because most of their demand ends up being internal and the dollar value of said exports is minimal, so their more potent tools for trade war aren't even felt by governments yet. If you think REE is bad wait till lipo battery, semiconductor precursor and active pharmaceutical restrictions kick in. Too much intermediate materials on unfinished and finished states are reliant on China and the logistical hyper efficiency there is the leveraged advantage, which doesn't disappear just because USA isnt buying it anymore.
Current technological bottlenecks for the USA are bad but the flywheel effect of domestic AI clusters paired with mature industrial ecosystems could be even more critical in tilting a permanent advantage to China. You can build a gigafactory and a data cluster in USA, but if you dont have the supporting ecosystem of toolmakers and logistics ERP in place then you're losing out geometrically if not exonentially with every development cycle because stacking advantages are contingent on a kature ecosystem not new toys.

The kill chain for antiair starts at detection and current air ops favor terrain hugging with popup approach for strikes. As such kills are almost predetermined by baiting bandits to an ambush location, not one to one fights in the air. Operation Sindoors furball is textbook what NOT to do, and the Ukrainians lacking cueing radars to allow extreme range missiles without using ones own radar. Plus, the F16s Ukraine received are all ancient block A MLU so they have no AESA radar at all. Maybe link16 but that's still useless without a cueing platform.
In any case industrial capacity doesn't matter as much as legacy stocks because you can't just whip up a thousand eurofighters on demand. This isn't WW2 where tractor factories could make T34s and piano makers could make planes Spitfires. A modern combat platform is far more advanced and just the factory to make one is a dedicated multiyear investment to get operational let alone the rate of production. Inventories are nice to have but those take up space and are either tempting targets for sabotage or logistical nightmares to get to the front.
