Getting ready to watch the excellent Thursday game this week after my night meeting lets out, I'm realizing that this is such a good football season for me overall at this point. I'm looking at the power rankings, they all tend to cluster together so I'll use the Reddit ELO rankings as a rough guide to how each team's season is going. And I'm realizing that I don't actually hate any of the top teams this year. I might after this year because of games they play against Philly, but as of now I find most of them likable and admirable. My favorite team is the Eagles, but if they don't make it I'd love to see either of the Bills or Lions win a Super Bowl. I always find the Ravens a good team. I don't mind the Chiefs, I'll always have love for Andy Reid, even if I find them kinda boring in an overexposed way. The NFL is just better when the Steelers and the Packers are good. I like the Bo Nix Broncos and the Brian Flores Vikings. The first team I have beef with is the Bucs, who I want the Eagles to get revenge on not just for their recent playoff exits but for the Warren Sapp years, but I do like to see Baker Mayfield playing better than Groper Cleveland.

The first teams I really hate are at 12-14, just hoping to sneak into the playoffs. And I hate, like, half the league. But there just isn't a twelve win Dak Prescott Cowboys team, or a Tom Brady Patriots that you just know is gonna pull out some nonsense, or even a Mark Sanchez Jets team that just won't shut up.

Of course, for most people, this can't be true. Because the Eagles are winning their division, and they have the most annoying players in the entire league according to recent polls.

Weird.
