Starting a new diet today.

Meat, fish, eggs, veggies, fruit, a few pieces of great quality bread/carbs.

Sounds simple enough but my appetite and cravings are all over the place.

I've gone from 339 to 239 to where I am now at 285. I'm 6ft5 so ... I mean it's still terrible but at least I'm tall I tell myself.

Used to be a gym rat - hoping that starts grooving again.

I can't sleep tonight so apologies for the double post.

Also on new regime this week. Removing all gluten for at least a month to see what happens. I would often have had gluten multiple times a day (cereal, pasta, bread etc). Could care less about cereal and pasta and most other gluten/wheat products, but I do salivate at the prospects of a good sandwich and part of me dies at the thoughts of not having one for a while.

I’m 6-4, ~210 lbs, up from 195 less than a year ago (have run marathons but odd energy fall-offs and months of colds/sinusitis/chest infections this year).

Figure inflammation is an issue and elimination diet to remove gluten (first) is the least I can do.

What was your previous diet?

Congratulations on your loss. How long did it take you?

Good luck man. I'm sure you know what to do. My weight loss platitude, which nevertheless did work for me in the past, was: don't keep junk food in the house. I have very low ability to resist it if it's there; but if it's not there I couldn't eat it.

Keep us posted on your progress, so that we can praise and commend you.
