I bet he does follow the neoreactionaries because he seems like a person who would follow that stuff. But I think he has a lot of shared background with me. That is what high IQ rust belt guys do.
I feel like the only difference between me and him is he wrote a book and gives better speaches.

Khan. I can’t figure her out. She’s blocking a mid-tier luxury hand bag merger but Microsoft got to buy Activision for $68 billion. Google just announce they are buying Wiz for $23 billion. I’m actually concerned about big tech getting bigger but some mid tier consumer garbage she targets? Perhaps google just thinks the deal doesn’t close till she’s out of a job.
I’d like to know more on Vance’s thoughts here.

Not a lawyer but one thing I don’t understand is why NYC doesn’t just sentence him to jail. I already think they abused a lot of power. What’s doing another abuse of power and giving him 5 years.

Reading that it’s interesting to note that Armco Steel was the mill in Vance’s town and Butler.
On Scott’s notes of Vance being relatively clean and not doing a lot of bad things - I think in that area the smart kids realize they just need to put their head down until their 18 then run off somewhere.

I expect Trump to run in 2028. Either directly or thru very apparent proxies.
I don’t think it’s wise to assume his political career will end with this term. I fully expect him to be the most powerful American politician in 2028 regardless of who holds the official title.

Lighter resume I would agree. Though I would argue that Obama had a previous life. A decade plus as a law professor at UC. Vance’s professional career is just 3 years at big law and then being Thiel’s buddy, calling himself a VC, and investing in Rumble.
Obama you would obviously call an academic lawyer. I don’t think you would call Vance any particular career.
Vance lacks accomplishments. He wrote one acclaimed book. The rest of his career is a junior big law stint and then I guess he was good at befriending rich people and became a VC of which I see zero prominent investments.
He has never held a job long enough to do anything. I think it’s questionable “he had a life before politics”. He had internships to become a politician. Even Democrats who wanted to be in politics would spend 3 years in military service before going off to law school back in the day. He’s no Desantis in that regard.
He though is solidly blue tribe. Classic smart white guy marries Asian/Indian.
I don’t think he does much to extend the base. Maybe he helps to push engagement in Pennsylvania which is probably a swing state. Trumps biggest weakness is governance not winning the election. That may not matter for the election but in terms of getting things done Vance is a lightweight.
He reminds me a lot of Palin but with better education. I don’t even think Dems will fear him. He doesn’t remove the assassin risks with Trump.

Butler is prime maga territory.
It’s going to be prime territory for Trump to play up. Jay Last from the original traitorous 8 in SV and in pe Daniel D’aneillo came from Butler.
For a 15k person town there are some hitters who grew up there.
This is my hometown. I do not have any big thoughts right now. But it is an interesting town with history. For a rust belt town there are people from Butler that went on to bigger things.
One of the founders of Silicon Valley came from Butler. One of the founders of the PE industry a partner at the Carlyle group came from Butler.
Historically Butler is a steel town and manufactured the jeep back in the day. Everyone I know with any ability moved away a long time ago.
And now it looks like Butler will be in the history books as an important place in American history.

For the 16th Street Baptist Church scenario that would seem to strongly point towards an antifa or otherwise identifiable leftist group as the perpetrator. That would be a reason the FBI would bury evidence on who did it.
Since after 1/6 Trump was a very bad man and the primary target you would not want it to come out that on 1/6 day there was also a leftist trying to do a frame job on Maga as very bad people by planting some pipe bombs. That would lead to a mixed narrative that gets Trump off. If it was a Maga guy who did it then they would use it to hang Trump.

The mildest version would be Biden legitimately won the election but the CIA wanted to permanently ruin Trumps political future.

I do not see the evidence that Trump has any fading cognitive abilities. He is likely not as smart as he was at 30. He doesn’t drink. He still steps on stage and gives a speech often. He has been a loudmouth his entire life. It’s his personality. Not the same thing as cognitive decline. He is just old. We all age differently.
From 1/6 one thing we have never been given any information on is the alleged pipe bomber. Zero. Nada. The only planned terrorist activities on that date.
I have no idea what happened here. Was it the CIA. A lone wolf Democrat activist trying to paint maga as terrorists? Some smart maga extremists crazy enough to do the strategy but smart enough to do it right?

Conspiracies do hide in plain site. Eipstein being a pedophile and getting a sweet deal was well known. Hunter Biden laptop to a lesser extent.
The left also hasn’t tried to hammer the right on the issue of a pipe bomber being there. And the left often tried to play up things that weren’t done/known like Trumps covid disinfectant drink bleach thing, Ivermectin as dewormer, or the fine people hoax. Maybe it’s not enough of an edge case to get people to fight over it or the powers that be knew not to publicize it because if people looked into it more it would be bad.
Edit: I guess you could argue Russia/State Actor did it. Saw that America had gone crazy. And wanted to escalate. Could have their Michael Westen whose good enough to do it right without being caught.

Biden is gone. He is not winning a debate. He could not even do that in 2020.
Trump has already been convicted as a felon and as a rapists. Trials are not saving the Dems.
The economy could upturn? Unemployment is low and while inflation is too high it is better.
I see one positive catalyst. Russia collapses on the battlefield.

You do realize $350 and $77 are much different numbers.
We also have tech solutions today to prevent them from raping and murdering each other. Require them to wear Apple glasses or just watches. Put cheap cameras everywhere.
If you kill someone then we just need an immediate execution. If you rape someone then off to the hole for 10 years. This would negate the need for highly paid unionized gods.
The airline industry is the one industry that sort of has the go ahead to break antitrust law. The combination of high fixed costs, no moat, and marginal revenue maximizing pricing of $0 makes them go bankrupt too much. Their CEO’s already get to answer questions talking about anti competitive behavior with only a thin plausible deniability.
