I agree that most/all of these proposals seem unwise. We need to tax the poor more and cut spending harshly, particularly the insidious "refundable tax credits" that have really caught on lately.

That said, people mostly complain about "fake email jobs" that are in government, or are government facing. These jobs require credentials that are typically not actually market based but mandated or "mandated". So saying they exist in a market is kinda false.

I mean, sure, we haven't seen them eating cats. We have photos of them carrying waterfowl and at least one police recording reporting 4 poached waterfowl. We have some citizen reports of missing cats. We know cat is a Hatian dish.

There is a reason there is a full court press in the media to try to discredit the accusation. Its shocking. Its highly plausible, 20k poor people who are seemingly not being policed by local authorities (who seem both partisan and overwhelmed, the latter seemingly intentionally by higher levels of government) are going to get up to messed up shit.

This is also happening with the migrants in big cities, including the one in which I work. There are huge sex crimes issues in the shelters, and mostly the people running them are overwhelmed, and there is no reports coming from the migrants. So nearly every prosecution is stemming from a 12-16 year old girl getting an abortion or giving birth.

Here's one alleged debunking. When I look at the evidence they present I believe the citizen accounts over the "authorities" because the latter are far more incentivized to lie. So IDK. If you are inclined to believe the city manager, then I suppose it is dubunked. I think that if you ask a guy if he's doing a bad job, hes unlikely to say yes.

Is there any randomize or blinded evidence for sex ed? Having been a teenager who went through the class, I feel it was entirely useless. In many ways anti-informative about the truth of the world.

Sufficiently debunked? In what way? The debunkings have seemingly confirmed that Haitians are poaching waterfowl and have killed at least one person's cat and were in the process of butchering it when police intervened. Whether or not that was for food is unconfirmed, but no one should take official sources seriously regarding that.

Yeah, now that we have more info it looks like it was not a true agg speeder. It does seem, based on the number of R/Os though that there was a prolonged chase. Whether Hill is just an oblivious idiot, or there wasn't a good place to stop is probably never to be determined.

Having seen the effects of recent migration to my city, the idea that 1st gen immigrants not committing more crime than the natives can only actually be true if there is a large black population in that place. Among crimes that can't be covered up by the community, like DUI, the Venezuelans we've gotten are massively overrepresented. We know there is a lot of sex crime being covered up by the community. As we see with this Springfield situation, authorities seem to be covering up immigrant crime at high rates as well.

But why

State capacity isnt unipolar. Most Western states have increased capacity against fake criminals, aka dissidents, while pseudo-intentionally having lower against real criminals.

As someone who watches probably about a dozen police bodycam videos per day,

Are you the PD or one of our shadow state attorneys?

I don't know FL laws, but in my state the underlying offense of misdemeanor agg speeding and reckless driving is cause enough to ask him out of the vehicle and impound it, take him to the station, etc. In some cases the same is true for the tinted windows. Not that it is common, but it certainly is considered part of protocol to be used sparingly. If he was going 50+ over as some initial reports indicated (none confirmed yet AFAIK) it would be edging into it being fairly common for police to arrest and tow. Especially with a car like that which probably costs $500k+

The only Trump I've watched lately was him getting shot and the debate. Debate Trump would talk about eating cats and say something like, "they're eating cats now, cats. People's cats. Terrible terrible people, and Kamala wanted them here "

But your paragraph doesn't have to word "cats". The cats part is something Trump could really fixate on if he gets told about it.

If Trump actually accused Kamala of helping Haitians eat cats what the heck happens?

"You, and Joe Biden brought in millions of illegal immigrants, and now. Did you see this folks? They are stealing and eating cats in Ohio. True story, I couldn't believe it myself."

Agree and I will elaborate. My son is illiterate. This is fine, he is too young to be literate. He is just barely mastering speech of a very finite vocabulary (and is doing so speedily according to the doctors). But he still will just let me do the dishes while he sits down and "reads" books. Certainly he knows his favorite books (they involve large machinery). He grabs them intentionally off the shelf and peruses them for enough time for me to finish all sorts of minor tasks.

Now, could I work from home, alone, for a whole day and expect this behavior for a whole day? No that is insane. He has the energy of a greyhound and needs to go outside and get his 10k steps. He needs to climb at some point. But if you cant manage that at a FAMILY party what is wrong with you and your family? Can none of them be trusted to not kick him down the stairs? Do you all have houses full of vases and knives in every room? Last family party I attended I supervised 4 under 4 easily for an entire morning with only a few interventions by parents of those other than my son to change diapers (which I still could have done if I had the right size with me, b/c I did for him).

Indeed. My wife has a few childless friends, some are happy about it, some are not (one was explicitly flipped from the former to the latter by hanging out with my son). This "dangerous" part isn't really it. Its far more about the "doing stuff" bit. The ones who are happy about it are "scared" of not being able to jet off to Europe on a whim. The stats also say that most of these people live to regret their short term thinking in their 20s and 30s. Children are an investment. For most people the early pain ends up being paid back surprisingly quickly. Now, a small subsection of parents dislike their kids. I'd argue many of them dislike the kid because they dislike themselves and made a kid in their image.

I find the timing of this alongside the Russia Today fake indictments of Russians who will never face a real trial to be suspicious. The DOJ has lost its presumption of objectivity, and it really feels like they are trying to say, "pay no attention to the fact that the DNC of our second largest state was severely compromised by the PRC. A few right leaning youtubers got paid a few million dollars by a media company secretly financed by Russia!"

From 12-18 I worked in various spots. Mostly refereeing. There are almost no 12 year old referees anymore. The state makes it really hard to start before 15 now. Cant be solo before 16. I used to solo ref 10 year olds as a 13 year old who rode a bike to the field and it was fine. Now they have 30 year olds doing that.

Also at 18 I worked for a glass company right after HS. The owner wanted me to stay on full time. I went to college on a full ride for engineering instead. But, perhaps in a different economic system I could have become head of the plant with no degree and started earning 50k a year out of HS and 100k by age 22. But that is simply not done.

13 year olds aren't meaningfully more useless than 18 year olds in many roles. Particularly when you are comparing an intelligent 13 y/o to a illiterate illegal 18 year old. What has happened is they've been regulated and credentialed out of competition. Plus once they are 16 or so, they are still being economically undercut by unregulate, illegal labor, meaning they can't get the entry level job that serves as a stepping stone to, for example, become a master carpenter. Thus the system pushes them into education because sheepskins is the only other way to get into those higher level jobs now.

It's not about "education", unless you think it is impossible to have an education system that doesn't result in arrested development well into your thirties.

This does seem to be the pattern to me. Education extends adolescence and then the education becomes a justification as to why you can't settle in a community where you have something other than your "dream job". So you had a few HS boyfriends, a college BF, then you are with another guy in a different place after college for a few years, then that gets broken off because one of you is moving from Columbus to Chicago for a high powered job and the other has to choose between their employment and the spouse, they pick employment and another few years of courtship have been wasted.

Food in Europe does take up a higher % of their income though.

Palestinians have every right to engage in armed resistance. Israel is taking more than combatants prisoner and not providing trials.

Well if its an armed resistance then they are POWs and not hostages. You are trying to have it both ways. In one part of your frame this is a legitimate war, so the Gazans are entitled to violence. Yet, in the other part of your frame Israel is not entitled to carry out its war in an effective manner, which, given normal rules of engagement + Hamas's tactics would ordinarily entitle Israel to a genocide. Which you would, obviously, again object to.

Fundamentally what the region needs is a situation in which Palestinians are in control of the situation and have a stable arrangement that they are satisfied with.

So a genocide of Israel is necessary? The people of Gaza have spoken and they prefer death to coexistence.

This seems like it would increase the cost of goods significantly compared to the current system. Places like Amazon already face significant last step of delivery costs. Doing so for every supplier to a grocery store? That will make Biden's inflation look like childs play.

You see how calling convicted terrorists "hostages" makes people suspicious of your point of view right? Why are we conflating the West Bank and Gaza? They will never be one nation again unless they ethnically cleanse Israel off the map. Of course there were trade controls in Gaza, it is, I don't know how many times it must be stated, run by a terrorist organization whos interest is killing Jews and using its own citizens as human shields to try and get American and European Leftists sad.

Then how will the delivery truck utilize the road effectively?
