Iran’s leverage over Straits discredited
On the radio today they mentioned ongoing negotiations about Iran charging a toll. They want around 7 or 8%; other countries are demanding closer to 2%. It used to be 0. Their ability to shoot missiles into ships is not that discredited.

I design electronics. I can make layouts and order PCBs. I design RF structures. I also test my designs myself. I need practical coding skills to automate testing, run FEM simulations programmatically, process measured data, etc.
I currently work for a major tech company and some would call me a tech bro. My work gives me LLM access for free. The Google search free LLM is mentally retarded. If you tried free LLMs and found them to be dumb, try a good one instead.

Grocery store profit margins are much closer to 1%. They need to mark up products that much to pay their workers, run a nationwide logistics system, make up for theft, etc. Then have the tiniest bit left over for profit.

No offense, but this is an incredible statement of ignorance. I use them at work and they are amazing. Not in any way a toy or marginal in value.

They do in fact deliver tax money. Around half of property taxes in Loudoun County, VA are paid by data centers. That county allows building of data centers and reaps the rewards.

Amazon and data centers are net payers of taxes. If AOC and New Yorkers selfishly wanted more tax revenue, then they'd approve of the Amazon headquarters. I reject the premise that data centers or Amazon headquarters are tax drains.
Loudoun County, VA approved of those data centers and they pay around half of all property taxes in the county to the benefit of the people who live there. Of course they have to pay their taxes.

Grocery stores are famously low profit. Like 1 to 3 percent after ruthlessly optimizing logistics and having minimal staffing. There's no 30 percent laying around for someone to take. Market prices are the price for a reason.
These are going to run at a 30%+ loss given even slightly higher than typical staffing costs. Which is feasible by subsidizing with tax dollars. The cynic in me suspects this will be yet another exercise in setting tax dollars on fire. Optimistically some poor people will get some below cost food that they eat rather than resell.

The ECHR prevents you from directly deporting someone who makes a claim of asylum.
The term "suicide pact" comes to mind. Strange they couldn't forsee malicious false claims of asylum overwhelming them. The American equivalent being 5.8 million under Biden. Google tells me nearly a million per year in Europe. So almost as bad as the very worst of American Democratic governance.

About a fifth of the Hawaiian population is native or part native. Thats significantly smaller than the east Asian population. Importing large numbers of outsiders to the point they are a supermajority of the local population prevents any hope of reconquista.

It makes sense if someone is an extremist accelerationist. A few times now police bodycam footage has completely exonerated a cop who shot someone. People want to turn a police killing into the next big thing, but reviewing the footage the cop was clearly justified. A first person view of someone charging with a knife makes the shooting look very defensive from the cops point of view.

It is hypothetically possible for the planet to support much green plant life but little or no large mammalian life. Such as plants thriving in hot CO2 but not megafauna such as humans.
