People keep saying this as if it's gospel, but it's based on a tweet where he was being critical of Trump. The format basically being "I thought you were different man but it turns out you were a fraud this whole time! I voted for you in 2016 because I didn't think you were a total complete fraud but it turns out you a fraud and always have been and people should vote for my lord and savior, Kamala Harris! Or he Republicans, you should support Nikki Haley!"
People lie. Especially delusional people on the internet when they're trying to push an agenda may lie about things like who they voted for 8 years ago.
Meanwhile he's been donating to Democrats since 2012, has Kamala stickers on his truck, and obviously champions Democrat causes.
It's an absurd level of cope to try and claim that the guy who has been donating to Democrats, litearlly volunterring in Ukraine, putting Democrat stickers on his car, and trying to murder Donald Trump is somehow mysteriously a Trump voter.

Trump has repeatedly said that, if elected, he will negotiate an end to the war before he even takes office.
Presumably what this means is telling Ukraine they get no more assistance until they agree to a truce.

So far Ukrainian and Ukrainian inspired terrorism has: attempted to assassinate a US presidential nominee, attempted and nearly assassinated a European Prime Minister, blown up a major piece of German infrastructure causing serious damage to their economy.

Trump has been pretty vocal about ending the war. I’d go as far as saying it’s one of his main talking points.
Frankly I’m surprised there hasn’t been more of this.

Abortion is in my mind due to the debate last night which has led me to this article:
The state recorded eight deaths among infants who survived abortion attempts during Tim Walz’s tenure as governor.
The gist is: in Minnesota, if a baby was born you were required to care for it to keep it alive. Sometimes an abortion would result in a living baby being born, and doctors were required to give that baby supportive care (they were likely premature, so wouldn’t necessarily survive, although premature babies born wrong 23 weeks survive frequently, that said none of the cited instances of this led to a baby surviving).
In 2019 this was changed to allow doctors to let a baby sit there until it just dies on its own.
Here’s some thoughts about this:

At the point where this is even a question, you’re clearly talking about a living human being.

Simply ignoring a baby until they die is the way that infanticide (usually killing baby girls) is done all over the world

This is another instance of “conservative politician says something that gets immediately ‘fact checked’, but it turns out is at least directionally and likely just literally true.

We should be caring for living human babies whether the mother wants to kill them or not. “Oops I meant to kill it before I could see it out here in the world” is not a valid excuse.

If anything the fact that there were so many cases of this in a single state in such a small period of time moves my needle even further towards being aggressively anti abortion, up to jailing the doctors doing this and charging them with murder.

I think the tempering is because he was shot in the face about 2 months ago.
People are trying to kill him. He avoided death by about a centimeter.
I think that’s what caused the mood shift.
0% tax rate for people with 3 or more children.
The ultra wealthy would game this to pay no taxes, which would also make 3+ families a sort of status indicator.
The main goal is making it high status to have kids. It honestly seems like this is already starting.
On immediate material things: tax breaks for “pro kid” businesses. If you are a restaurant, bar, coffee shop, etc. with a dedicated area for children to play, you get a tax break.
A paramilitary force to aggressively remove drug addicts and anti socials from child spaces like parks and playgrounds.
Death penalty for child abusers and child traffickers (as a social signal that we care about kids)
I will say until the end of time that the most politically brilliant thing Biden could have done was to immediately pardon everybody involved in J6, commit to blanket pardoning Trump for any stupid bullshit anybody tried, and leaned hard into national unity.
If he had done that, even with the rest of the woke bullshit, I’d probably be campaigning for him right now. Instead we got pseudo angry grandpa, endless lawfare, and more endless division presented as unity.

Do you realize that Elon Musk has absolute domain expertise in several, unrelated engineering disciplines (aerospace, rocket engine design, electric vehicle design and integration, and manufacturing for all of these), and that before he got started in his current arc he had domain expertise in several other unrelated engineering and regulatory disciples (software and banking regulation)?

I think you answered your own question.
The republicans don’t do a good job of communicating this.
Look at people like Elon Musk, though. You can see about the time he started believing this (about when his son was victimized by it), and the effect it had on him. I choose him because he is very public, but I think every parent has friends who have gone through the same transition.
It’s the conservative version of getting “woke” (the original meaning before it became an insult - basically becoming aware of something which radically shifted your perception in one direction)
