My impression is that people will say one thing and vote another. It’s the only explanation, because I see the same pattern of virtually everyone hating on conservatives or its ideology.
Yeah, I’m thinking the same. I’m disappointed since I think illegal immigration is going to be a huge issue for the western world in the coming decades and we needed to set a strong precedent with Trump for mass removal, as well as his government efficiency and moves towards Musk being big bonuses. But unfortunately the sole champion we had was this guy who couldn’t get enough women on-side, because he is quite frankly a pig and a womanizer, and such a megalomaniac he couldn’t take an L
My only hope now is that Kamala wasn’t lying with her pivot towards the centre. It’s a very slim hope; I know.
I wish my boy Musk luck - not sure he will survive a Kamala term.
There’s been a major swing in predictions markets with Harris gaining serious momentum.
this is due to a new Selzer poll. Selzer is apparently one of the most highly credible polling firms out there, with very high historical accuracy, and it shows Harris winning Iowa by several points. If true, this signifies a potential Harris blowout victory across the entire country.
Either way, it seems polling is fundamentally broken for calling elections now. Emerson is showing a 10 point lead for Trump in Iowa. All the other polls showed Trump ahead for a long time, but they either were subject to “herding” or were just massively off in the opposite direction of previous elections.
Previously I thought Trump had a pretty solid shot at winning this but I’m seriously thinking Harris has it in the bag now, against all odds.

I have to say JD Vance would be my favourite pick for a president, ideal situation is Trump gets elected. Dies soon after (of old age), and JD gets a few years to right the ship. It might be the only way we get someone who is rationalist-adjacent into such a influential position.

Congrats bro, I wish health care providers were more aware of beta blockers use for anxiety. My family doctor didn’t want to prescribe it because my blood pressure was fine so apparently only SSRIs are all he’s willing to give.
As for exposure therapy I doubt it will work with propranolol since the point is you need to FEEL the anxiety. A better strategy is to get a job that forces you to speak to strangers on a very frequent basis, that will help moreso than beta blockers in the long run

Lower risk of Parkinson’s as well. I would use nicotine more but stimulants seem to affect my anxiety/insomnia in a bad way, so I limit my use to the point I doubt there’s any health benefit

The interview a big W for the Trump campaign in my opinion. The podcast has the biggest reach of any other, and more exposure the better, he didn’t blow up or look dumb, not sure there’s any undecideds left to convince but this could just be a nice reminder to Trumpy people “oh yeah there’s an election I better vote!”

Instagram and TikTok are for tabloid tier infotainment meaning there's very little chance of the content from those platforms polluting the memespace of serious discussions and they can be safely ignored/excluded.
You’d be surprised how many people exclusively use TikTok instead of any other social media. There’s plenty of channels on there that offer news coverage as well. I think it plays a huge negative role in influencing the current zeitgeist and how young people especially view things, which is probably why America is banning it soon

But I don’t know I’m getting 2020 vibes, feels like deja vu. Someone know how this is different this time around? Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Arizona all look like a toss up and could go for Harris
