All of Pargin's books have interesting titles but, from what I see on tvtropes, are filled with a type of humor I don't really care for. I'd see a new title on the shelf, start to pick it up and then go, "Oh, not him again. FFS."

In my opinion, the 1924 immigration restriction act should have been the beginning of that sort of thing for the US: the gradual melding of the European ethnic groups into a single White American entity. (Scottish, as perceived as a separate ethnicity in the US, actually did vanish sometime in the early postwar era).
But the Hart-Cellar act, by neglecting to set hard, very low annual caps on non-European immigration, blew up the chance to have a single ethnic group composing 90% of the population.

In Northern VA, most of the masked people I see are Asian. I understand that going out in public masked has been very common in East Asia since the SARS epidemic more than twenty years ago.

When I visited Boston in the summer of 2016, i was looking forward to doing some girl-watching at Revere Beach, accessible by the T.
Almost everyone there was Latino, though, and it looked like a rough neighborhood. I guess the area's white residents had long since abandoned the place for some beach you could only access by car.

Re-watched Robocop (1987) recently. I hadn't remembered that, though it's set in Detroit "twenty minutes into the future", pretty much all the criminals are white.

In my home area, Northern Virginia, all the jobs that teens used to do - fast food, lawnmowing, child care - are now done by adult Central American immigrants. It's been that way for thirty years or so!
I have no idea how (other than lifeguarding at pools) kids are supposed to earn money nowadays.
