I'm not convinced by your protestations. Some people might think shitting in a pool is funny, and then without standards we're left with a shitty pool. The main post topic doesn't lead to the mention of a middle schoolers bulge, that's all you buddy. Your choices to return to this topic time and time again and, your obvious desire to return to this topic in the future I think are more suitable to some other place. I think everyone loves your citations and links, its your repeated insistence on this topic that I think makes your gosh me defense fail. While I predict you flailing your arms to the impossibly of compartmentalization I think its best solution.

Is it too much to ask for hidden text privacy blocks for when you post with/about/pertaining to the sexualization of children?

I don't think its unreasonable to expect Friday Fun to omit the sexualization of middle schoolers.

You did the previously did this where you highlighted legal cases of child sex abuse, with some 'legal' interest that you shared with us; several times over weeks. This seems like the same schtick with 'LLM related prompts' and no shielding text blocks instead.

Your idea of 'fun' is cracked, don't post that shit here.

I do remember that post and I was wondering what happened next.

Honestly I would start paying rent to the parents. $1500 on the first or the 15th every month, give you some incentive to actually move out.

For never having a job: you're an independent trader who works remote. Everyone who has ever had a boss is a little jelly.

The future divide of people your age when they get older will be people who had assets that appreciated with inflation and those who didn't, and the difference will be a deep chasm. You've already saved your money, go live your life.

The problem is having seen what agreements Hong Kong had, makes me think Taiwan wouldn't be susceptible to propaganda and instead would see any agreements with PRC transfer of control to be fatalistic surrender.

Hearing its the 49ers owner makes that story makes more sense. The Debartolo family hails from near Youngstown OH; with good Italian restaurants. I didnt realize how much money was in certain suburbs out there, until I had a friend who said he had two kids with Ferrari's in his graduating HS class

My other guess was The Wire, but neither are depicting morality of the society at large, and I think you still see depictions of homophobia its just very strongly the outgroup doing it.

It was only 25 years ago when the most popular tv show of all time executed a person for being gay.

What show are you thinking of? What I think of as the most popular show didn't have this, at least that I recall.

"Jerry and I are just friends! Not that there is anything wrong with that."

At this point I think we've learned what posters you can safely ignore after seeing the post is over a certain length.

I think the best parallel is the successor states to the Mongolian Empire in established areas of complex civilizations in China and Persia, where the skills of being steppe conquerors long eroded but the dynasty persisted for longer.

There's always emergencies to consider, but if you don't need to borrow money do you need to worry about a credit score?

Yeah Nikki's antics made me wonder if Bear was just a better person (cooler, more socially aware and had more going on) would Nikki have acted so crazy. They really hammer home how depressing his house is, how socially awkward he is.

Another thought I had on the bpd antics of Nikki, is this how 'powerless' people fight back? That jenga scene gave me such flashbacks to when a friend was dating a chick who would be huffing and puffing in corner sad over something during a party, I would say performatively trying to ruin the mood because she was upset and I literally learned not to care (not my monkey, not my circus).

I saw it and loved it. It really had everything. The way the actress played Nikki was spectacular. Even the actor who played Bear was pretty believable too.

All I track is Bitcoin. I have less than $2k of it and my break even price is $68k. What I currently do is buy it using my credit card rewards every month (I got a Coin Base credit card so waives transaction fees [after yearly fee] but my other credit card gives better rewards so I use that one and transfer it). Part of me sees it as something besides stocks to buy against inflation, but the price is volatile and I've been told that the exchange I use isn't the safest. I look at it like at outside bet, but I think predicting its price is a fools errand. Like the current drop might be people reallocating at buy SpaceX or something. I used to have Ethereum, but after a few years I saw Bitcoin's path and had zero confidence in Ethereum to do the same. I consider everything else a $hitcoin.

Not a clear example but your question makes me think of the Ahmaud Arbery case, where the killing was video-taped and no charged for months.

This last couple of years have been odd. If you picked the magnificant 7 then you look like a genius. But tech can swing drastically, and honestly I don't like Meta or Amazon. I split my portfolio between a little less than 30% in individual stocks, and just in my brokerage (the IRA is all funds). I should have riskier with the IRA since I had some good hunches (my brother talked to me about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac when they were at less than 50 cents), but I'm a buy and hold guy. For picking individual stocks I mainly choose what I'm interested in, home-town favorites who my friends work for, and if I have any macro-economics hunches (if rates stay higher for longer how do you think that affects bank stocks?).

I usually keep zero cash. I have usually $1k in a checking account and $20k in savings accounts.

I loved Hokum but the jump scares I felt mostly built and furthered the story, but I'm really partial to jump scares. Silent Hill is mentioned below, but I got inklings of the Shinning too. My favorites part of Hokum are the gorgeous hotel, the use of the cherub faces, and the aware enough but clueless misanthropic American writer was also perfect in the story. I also loved Barbarian and Bring her Back, but I haven't seen Talk to Me and Weapons yet.

I saw Hokum and loved it. I love Horror films and Im a sucker for jump scares (I also loved roller coasters and I think the enjoyment is analogous). I never saw the trailer so maybe I've aged out of the demographics they are targeting.

My current is held is low like 1% of total invested things in an international index, but I've added it to my 401k and HSA elections at about 25% so it will increase as the year goes on.

The hardest part I feel is starting to save. The gapping maw of the future will be those who saved and invested and those who did not. This future inflation will crush future retirees. The current bull run of everything going up has spoiled a lot of new investors and honestly still looks like it has steam to continue to me.

My strategy is to split between index funds and ETFs and also buy some individual stocks I like or want to track. For funds I mainly check fees and past performance, for stocks I see whether they're making money.

For my stocks I'm heavier into Tech and much heavier into American companies. I only recently added an international index fund because of Hormuz, which might be backwards thinking.

I think plastic surgery is really just for the hideous and malformed, or those suffering from accidents and the procedure is a return to baseline. If your personality and swagger can't overcome minor imperfections then I doubt any procedure will improve your outcomes. As if anyone you want to marry won't see photos of you from more than three years ago. The point of attractiveness is signal your awesome genes. You getting getting plastic surgery is admitting you seriously doubt you have awesome genes. Why would anyone who understands genetics choose to reproduce with someone who thinks their genes are trash? Isn't there a Chinese movie where both the parents have cosmetic plastic surgery and have really ugly kids?

I've seen that fountain, and the heroic males riding the animals I thought was a little sus, but more like when comparing the portrayals of Apollo, Hermes, or Antinous to Zeus, Neptune, Odysseus portrayals. The center figure of the fountain (young woman with outstretched arms and water flowing from them) has always struck as similar to depictions of Mary mother of Jesus, but that is probably my background biasing what I notice, I think she an allegory for the Ohio River.

The mid level parts are all commerce on related

Part of me wonders if its our sex-obsessed modern view of things, (except for Antinous) in olden era men slept in the same bed it wasn't considered scandalous or sexual.

Don't post that shit here. I think you go to efforts to find cases that contain 'legal interests' when your interest is obviously prurient (like you asking posters what they think about during masturbation, or that other case of sexual abuse you found 'funny'). Then you sandwich it all in a big post where other idiots respond to other parts of the post.

Serendipity!!! So maybe ten years ago or more, I heard a song on the local college radio station (they highlight new/local artists and announce the artist and song title), but I misheard the artist name and it was a really common song title. Some of the lyrics stuck with me, but searching with those was no help. I've searched for it a few times over the last decade, but never had any luck. Staying back at my parents house, I tuned back into that college radio station when I'm driving around, and I heard an artist's name that was basically the same name I thought I heard ten years ago, but starting with a different consonant. Looking up that artist today and found song I missed with the lyrics I remember. Happy New Year all!
