Can't speak to the flag burning, but the airwaves are publicly owned and granted by the government. If they are being flagrantly misused to spread proven lies and undermine the public which owns them, why shouldn't the license get pulled?

Likewise, libel and slander laws exist. Why shouldn't Trump avail himself of them same as people have against him?

The last post I made citing numerous government policies, and claiming the government hated me and wantes to deatroy me, you just told me "Stop it" with no further explanation. Theories in the thread were just that i was breaking "boo outgroup" or "consensus building". So no, I dont know.

Hey, another "You can't post that, it's boo outgroup". Employees of the current party in power did that thing they do again, where they openly express their hatred and willingness to hurt people like me.

EXCLUSIVE: FEMA Official Ordered Relief Workers To Skip Houses With Trump Signs

A FEMA supervisor told workers in a message to “avoid homes advertising Trump” as they canvassed Lake Placid, Florida to identify residents who could qualify for federal aid, internal messages viewed by The Daily Wire reveal. The supervisor, Marn’i Washington, relayed this message both verbally and in a group chat used by the relief team, multiple government employees told The Daily Wire.

I know, it's not the smoking gun that the whole FEMA effort in Appalachia was slow walked because those people vote wrong. But it's yet another data point that, no, seriously, these people hate you and will do anything in their petty bureaucratic power to make your life worse because you vote wrong.

It's a distinct possibility!

I don't think anything of the sort will happen. Biden and Kamala are way too chill and upbeat about this. I don't trust it. They are busy cooking up some Steele Dossier V2 or some new rule making red tape so that Trump will be tied up with bullshit for 4 straight years trying to unfuck their executive orders.

I honestly have no clue. Trump looks to have a dream team IMHO, and a better understanding of who to trust and who not to trust.

And then there is Mike Pompeo. God help us if he ingratiates himself back into the administration again.

It's also... I mean when I think back to his prior administration, all the promising advisors like Steve Bannon got squeezed out of the administration by more establishment GOP apparatchiks who had Trump's ear when the media threw a shit fit over some made up controversy. I'd hope he's smart enough not to repeat that mistake again, and allow RFK Jr, Tulsi or Elon to be pushed out by the Court Eunuch's again. But I'm also fully prepared to hear Trump start a speech about RFK Jr the way he starts a speech about everyone he's about to fire. "He's a great guy, but I don't know him that well, and he didn't really do much...." And I guess at that point all we can expect is 4 years of mean tweets and deep state sabotage.

Still better than the alternative of a Harris admin using Title IX to force schools to sterilize and mutilate children, or some executive order granting amnesty to 30m illegals that might get challenged in court but is the fig leaf D governors need to start letting noncitizens vote in federal elections, or god help us a tax on unrealized gains. But I was hoping to claw back some my nation away from these people.

I donno. Virtually every organ of culture I used to enjoy has been fully captured and is pushing far left talking points. I don't expect this to change. The best I see in opposition is a few video games being accidentally based by either taking an agnostic stance on modern day political issues, or apparently having feminine women? Actually Talos Principle II just had a normal heteronormative nuclear (robot) family, which was depicted as something wholesome and meaningful, as opposed to a source of existential horror and suffering. But I see no full throated condemnations of globalism, or odes to nationalism. Few works with any awareness of the human condition, or why conserving tradition might actually be wise and prudent. And these are silly things to expect in games granted, but I'm weighing it against the vast bulk of games with pronouns, and body type A/B, and bizarre anachronistic Orange Man Bad monologues or trans rights activist spiels. And I don't see this changing hardly at all. The best a game made by a conservative can pull off is to keep the creators politics a secret, lest the franchise be torn from their grasp and they get ejected from the fandom of their own creation. Like Notch or Scott Cawthon.

Will this change? Uuuuuuuuh. I mean never say never, but I see no signs of it. It's an absolute crushing culture war victory for the left. Pretty much all anyone can hope for is that the industry completely crashes because of all the brain rot and detachment from what audiences really want.

Facebook, Twitter stocked with ex-FBI, CIA officials in key posts

Circa 2022. Naturally Twitter, now X, has been purged. Facebook and others, not so much.

I mean, there will almost certainly be mass violence. Democrats are just better about having plausible deniability, like claiming "Antifa is just an idea". Or "Fiery but mostly peaceful protest."

Auto correct on my phone has failed me once again.

I think a lot of mothers voted for Trump. Schools secretly transitioning children and giving them pornography is radicalizing a lot of women. Boys in girls sports to a degree as well. Shitty dehumanizing language like "chest feeder" and "birthing person" too. Watching my wife put out feelers with other moms at the park, slowly building a repour rapport, until they were having 3 hour long conversations on the phone about this shit, validating each other that they weren't crazy has been an experience.

I don't think you "missed" anything. All our sense making organs have been purposely smashed to bits, and it's impossible to tell who's telling the truth anymore. The experts burn their trust, and then invent a machine to burn things that have already been burned so they can do it again next year. Meanwhile they point mockingly at the "wisdom of crowds" X seems to enable, or point to all the other heavily FBI/CIA influenced social media networks as the "normal" ones that should be representative. For you to have seen this coming would have required these people to stop lying about everything systematically.

I've seen this refrain over and over that Putin's misinformation playbook isn't to flood the zone with one big lie, but a million contradictory lies so that finding truth is like finding a needing in a haystack. But I'd say our intelligence services have learned that trick pretty well themselves. I'm not, or wasn't at least, a religious man, but I can only thank god that we had a seemingly free and fair election that showed the Emperor was naked once again.

I hope Trump is more shameless about shit canning people in the executive working against him. Everyone was ready to pop off if he fired people at the DOJ investigating him just like Nixon did. This time around, he'd be a chump not to do it given he was ultimately totally vindicated last time around, and there is zero pretense of things being anything other than a fishing expedition this time around. The MSM will bleat about it, but the massive rightward shift of every demographic I think finally shows their power is broken. Maybe they'll recover, but while Trump has mastery he needs to use it to the fullest extent possible.

Different.

There are two things. One, Trump was president, and it's in his (poorly exercised) authority to do as he wishes with classified information. Second, this was not the systematic exfiltration of all his classified work material to an unclassified office. It was lazy, haphazard, stupid exfiltration of some of his work material. Why does this matter? Clinton did it methodically and exclusively in clear violate of the law as secretary of state, with the specific intent of giving FOIA the run around. Trump did it because he got kicked out of the Whitehouse and shit had to go somewhere.

Bonus third reason was that so many Presidents and Vice Presidents from the last 10 years also got caught with some classified information in their unclassified offices.

I hate to be that guy but source? I simply cannot take such a just-so explanation at face value without something to substantiate it. Especially by the margins we are talking about here. 20 million votes out of 150 million cast? 13% of the electorate just checked back out? Especially when the conventional wisdom is that once you get a person to start voting, they generally keep voting. This study even says the effect is magnified in "high salient elections" which 2020 most certainly was?

Voting for the first time for a high-salience election should have a higher effect on turnout in subsequent high-salience elections

Edit: Let me put it like this. Show me the people who didn't vote this time that voted in 2020. Show me a poll, show me on the street interviews, tell me about people you know. Anything at all that points to this massive hypothetical dark matter voter that hadn't shown up at all in any of the polling this year. Nobody predicted such a steep drop off in turnout this year. It wasn't even on the radar. Don't just default to it being the only possible explanation because the alternative is unthinkable.

But that's the thing. What if the coin is weighted, but you refuse to admit your scale is broken? Or whatever tool you'd use to detect a weighted coin.

You hear a lot about how the results of this election were in the margin of error of a lot of the polls. Not the chances of winning, but what they estimated turnout to be. In some states, especially the better polled states, that might be true. In others, the polls were dashed to pieces. I think Texas, Florida, New York and Virginia had huge polling misses, despite turning out as predicted. I saw Sagaar Enjeti last night downright gleeful that the left's project for a Purple Texas seemed utterly destroyed with how hard Latino's realigned with Trump, and how hard Ted Cruz won them in his district versus prior Cruz victories.

I'm not saying Harris will somehow still be president. Hillary's Plan B was the Steele Dossier and miring his administration in 4 years of fake investigations and impeachments. I imagine Harris right now is organizing the deep state for 4 years of defense in depth to resist every action of a Trump admin.

Well... she's probably not organizing shit. But she's probably in the room while the adults are talking.

She's probably busy conferring with three letter agencies about what is Plan D.

You know, a data point that made me skeptical was a "lesson" I kept hearing from the 2022 midterms that polls over estimated Republican turnout. That was supposed to be a red wave that kind of fizzled outside of Florida. So it was hard to apply the same "It's the economy stupid", "The polls are just as wrong as 2016 and 2020" rules to them for 2024. At least for me.

I'm tempted to throw a little money at "Trump will not be president" as a hedge against my despair in case it actually happens. Is Polymarket open to Americans?

Like I said the fully Trump captured GOP invested heavily in proactively preventing what they believed were the avenues of voter fraud Trump has never given up on from 2020. I can't exactly take a victory lap because even I said I thought an outcome like this was weak circumstantial evidence. But maybe the GOP's heavy investment in fraud prevention carried the day. We may never know since the election only happens once, and we'll never see the counterfactual.

I don't want it stop. Trump might have "started it" in the sense that he saw Hillary committing naked crimes no other person would have gotten away with when it came to mishandling classified information. Like, literally anybody who has ever had a clearance knows you don't systematically exfiltrate your classified work materials home. And most of us had to take additional training after that happened about how no, no matter what you hear in the news, you are not allowed to do that and you can go to jail.

Trumps alleged crimes are more.... creative. Decades old sketchy sex stories, bizarre process crimes with no apparent victim, novel legal theories applied for the first time ever in history. He got nailed on shit you can have reasonable confidence almost every billionaire or politician has probably done, and/or things you are reasonably confident didn't actually happen.

I'd say he has a moral obligation to at least try to jail the corrupt government officials that weaponized the government against him.

I'm pretty sure Pelosi will be running the party from the grave at this point.

Yeah, it might help some with the popular vote. Didn't make a dent in local politics though sadly.

Why would they care? This is winner take all. I'm seeing scattered reports of trucks pull up with 100,000's of ballots in Philly and Detroit. There will always be a legion of empty suits claiming this is all totally normal and you are all the bad things if you ask questions.
