Democrats will shit all over democracy if democracy goes against their ends just as fast as Republicans except as Republicans

Well, the Democrats have a far better recent track record than the Republicans when it comes to accepting election results.

But it's not obvious that a fetus a couple of weeks old is a child.

The topic of sexual assault is certainly nothing sacred in these interactions in the same way it is in mixed settings,

I disagree. I've heard a lot of "I'm gonna fuck your mom" discourse in my time, but the implication is usually that she's been seduced. Suggesting that you were would rape someone's mother would go beyond the bounds of banter and would be seen as pretty hostile (or quite weird at best)

The Women's side of the gender discourse is run by Women's Studies department with tenured professors. Low grade trolling is a bit beneath them.

/r/incel_tears has >300k members, of which I'd assume the majority are women. It's not exactly Groyper-style trolling, but I think that pointing at and laughing at miserable members of your outgroup comes from the same psychological space.

Inasmuch as there's a breakdown in relations between sexes, I don't think you repair that without making abortion (at least during the first trimester) widely available.

The EU definitely has a problem. To which it is oblivious.

The people who tend to be in charge where these things happen i.e leftist mayors, aren't oblivious, they just don't see it as much of a problem.

But...sometimes things really are 50/50. If I tell you an unweighted coin is equally likely to come up heads or tails, I'm not somehow at fault for not being able to give you more insight than that.

lol

And out of which nostril?

A big, beautiful volcano.

I think it's Major Kong riding the nuclear missile in Dr Strangelove or nothing.

What? Who says that?

At least one progressive has said something like that to me directly. In particular, there were quite a few examples of this attitude in the recent aftermath of Trump/Biden debate, where I saw quite a few tweets to the effect of "Why is the media being so harsh on Biden when Trump said/did XYZ" etc.

I forget which of them has higher reserves of natural resources

Norway, with their oil and gas.

but then it should be up to the state to demonstrate that they are dangerous, not going 'meh, they are probably net-negative for us, verboten!

Having a tenth of their workforce being members (in some cases high-ranking ones) of a group whose entire mission is to destroy your country and all its inhabitants seems to meet the definition of dangerous.

That's not even getting into the fact that UNWRA is actively involved in propagandising Gazan children into believing their lives' sole mission is to kill Jews.

natural resources,

Well, not really. Sweden has historically had a lot of timber and iron ore, which isn't nothing, but it's not exactly brimming with hydrocarbons or valuable minerals.

It’s very very far from Kamala’s inability to put together a coherent point of view on the spot

I don't really think this is because Kamala can't form or express coherent thoughts. I think it's more that she doesn't have the experience/particular aptitude of combining her own opinion and with what's most politically savvy into an elegant response. I think her less good moments are when she's trying to come up with the perfect politician's answer, and that's not an easy skill.

I guess you could say that Iran and the Arabs and North Korea are more afraid of just how crazy Trump might be.

I think this is a narrow perspective on the effect Trump has on the Iranians and their proxies (which is what I assume you meant by Arabs, as most other Arab states are at least nominally allied with the US). He's a more effective deterrent not simply because they think he's crazy, but to a large extent because they know he's not likely to try to restrain Israel in their response to Iranian aggression the same way the Democrats do/will.

This IMO is one of the best reasons to vote for Trump (and I say that as a non-Trump voter) - not because I think the humanitarian concerns raised by Democrats are meaningless, but because I think the ME is dramatically less likely to go nuclear if Iran feels less empowered to constantly be belligerent.

Truly modern politics.

Especially if it turns out to be really hot.

They faced different competitors. Given how optimized chess has become, Magnus Carlsen faced harder opponents and a much deeper talent pool.

Carlsen has also benefited from the advances in theory and training methods that have occurred over the last few decades. If Kasparov were playing today and were able to take advantage of these resources he'd most likely be even better than he was at his peak.

A more apt comparison would be adult Magnus vs Kasparov.

That's pretty open debate among chess players with plenty of people taking either side. Neither is generally accepted by a majority of players to be more talented than the other.

Magnus Carlsen at age 13 was substantially weaker than Kasparov; I suspect the notion they were equals comes from the fact they drew a rapid game, but such upsets like that aren't unheard of (and Kasparov beat him in their next encounter, knocking him out of the tournament).

his IQ is way higher too.

I'm extremely dubious of this. What's your source?

Sure, Magnus Carlsen got an early start, but his IQ is also legit higher than probably most or all his competitors too.

Starting young (below 10 at a max, ideally below 8) is essential to eventually playing chess at the highest levels. There probably isn't a single player in top 100 who didn't start learning the game before this cut-of (and I suspect 90% of them achieved the GM title before they were 20). The chance to rapidly absorb thousands of patterns while your brain is still plastic is an opportunity you only get as a child. Anyone who's spent much time playing chess will know that children improve dramatically quicker than adults, primarily because they've still got the mental wiring to make great leaps in their understanding of the game in a very short time.

On election night Trump looks poised for a victory.

In what way was Trump poised for victory? Most of the polls/predictions were pretty heavily in Biden's favour.

Even smarter and more homogeneous nations struggle a lot.

It took 40 years, untold billions of $ and much woe for Swedish nation to start thinking, collectively, maybe we shouldn't be importing refugees on a massive scale.

While I'm not going to defend Sweden's migration policy, I think you'd much rather be a victim of your own success (which is where progressivism comes from) than your failures.

Silver is also a biased Kamala supporter who tends to tweet about positive Kamala polls more than negative ones. But I trust him enough to say that he will ignore his biases and go where the data leads.

To his credit, he's open about his bias.

I really enjoyed the use of emojis in that transcription.

Kind of a weird ad. Someone's first in-person questions to a prospective date including "how much money do you earn" is pretty tacky, so despite it obviously being not real the only effect of the video on me was that I judged the female characters quite negatively. Also why would you need to ask how tall someone is when they're standing right in front of you?

I don't watch TV though, so maybe this is just standard for these kinds of dating shows. And I did like popping balloons to indicate when something is a turn-off. I could get into a showwhere the women carry increasingly impractical noise-making devices they trigger when prospective suitors do something unattractive.
