I'm saying the opposite and that most "communists" in the USA (and socialists too like the DSA) are essentially just liberals
I don't think there is much difference between leftists and libs. The online leftists who hate libs more or less agree with them on almost everything. They pretend to take edgy positions because they aren't actually trying to get elected or affect change, but if they actually ran for office they would be pretty much the same. Look at people on /r/stupidpol who call communists who support trans stuff and identity politics liberals. It's just leftists shit flinging like the People's Front of Judea and the Judean People's Front scene in Life of Brian.
If people can create new parties and displace old ones then in theory they can change policy. Right now the only option is to take over a massive party and that is pretty much impossible. If you have a parliamentary system you can actually create a brand new party and start to change things if people agree with you i.e. Swedish Democrats,
This is a really good point and I hadn't thought of this.
I keep telling myself that this state of affairs can't continue because it's insane, but it keeps happening. I think if the US had a parliamentary system then this would have been fixed by now, but our 2 party system is also insane and incapable of solving problems like this. I actually think we're going to see a constitutional crisis soon, maybe with Trump, because there are just too many problems our outdated system can't fix.
It's actually insane to me that much of the the left in America thinks white supremacy not only is a threat to America but literally the biggest threat. I have been visiting some family in California this week and I have really gotten to see the white lib in their natural environment. Before this trip I had thought that the complaining about white liberals by conservatives was just a round about way to criticize other groups that aren't acceptable to attack and they were overemphasizing how bad they are. I have actually changed my mind on this and I think they have become quite deranged. Literally everything is seen through the lens of race and white/POC. These were people who had pretty moderate political views from what I remembered but they are no longer moderate. I was so annoyed by their beliefs but I didn't want to argue with them so I just kept silent.
However, I kept thinking to myself who are these white supremacists that they think run the country? If this country was run by white supremacists, they would be doing a terrible job. I think we can imagine what a white nationalist government would do.
First of all, their immigration policy would obviously promote having a white majority. The US obviously fails this. Its immigration policy has transformed a country that was once 90% white into a country where whites will be less than 50% of the population in 20 years and this has happened in people's life times. This isn't some slow demographic change. It was deliberate in some cases and merely allowed in other cases. A white supremacist country would simply not allow this to happen. We've seen ethno states from Nazi Germany to Israel. In the case of Israel, they prioritize keeping Jews the majority and try to get more Jews to move there. In the case of the Nazis, the took it to the extreme and exterminated non-Germans. The US does the opposite of either of these, allowing non-whites to become a majority of the young people and of births in about 50 years.
The second things they would do is prioritize whites over non-whites. Does the US do that? DEI and those kinds of organizations and philosophies are designed to hire more non-white people and less whites. On my job review I filled out, I was judged on 20% of my review on DEI type stuff, one of which was hiring more "diverse" candidates. It is illegal to specifically hire whites only and even if it wasn't the country would hate you if you actually did it. All kinds of programs have been set up to get more non-white people into elite institutions through affirmative action and other policies. The isn't a single government program that was created to specifically help whites, but the same can't be said about all other groups. Biden literally said he would only consider a black woman for VP and on the Supreme Court. Their competition in the Republicans would never dream of explicitly saying they'd only pick a white man.
In a white supremacist country ran by white supremacists, white supremacists would also be liked by the population and government. Except again this doesn't happen. If you are a white supremacist openly, you will be hated and fired from your job. If you try to be a public intellectual and organize a pro-white organization, you will be kicked off of social media and be removed from the banking system. People will say it is okay to physically harm you. If you get famous enough, you will be the most hated person in America like RIchard Spencer. You will be sued and attacked by left wing lawfare, again like Richard Spencer. If you want to be like and be successful, being a white supremacist is literally the worst thing you could be other than a pedophile.
This has real world consequences where it makes people think in insane ways. Look at this insane reddit thread I found on rdrama. These people literally think being concerned about millions of people crossing the border a year is racist and white supremacy. I know many people like this, including in my own family. This delusion is then propped up by academics and intellectuals. Probably 75% of every "smart" person out there who is educated in elite institutions believes this to some degree.
I don't really have anything else to say other than I'm just baffled that so many supposedly smart and rational people don't think through their arguments and beliefs. Cartesian doubt is apparently out of style. I don't see any evidence whatsoever that white supremacy or racism is anywhere close to the biggest issue the US faces.
It also looks stupid and it was made 20 years too late. It is critiquing something that doesn't exist anymore. It reminds me of the Baudrillard quote "The Matrix is surely the kind of film about the matrix that the matrix would have been able to produce." Except in this case, it's a movie the elite black gifting class and white libs would make about themselves. The bottom line is white libs are dying to make movies that make black people look good in 2023 and promote them to positions that they aren't qualified for. Now a real subversive movie would be about a black guy who keeps getting promoted to more and more important positions because white people are scared to disagree with him so they don't get called racist. Then he causes a huge problem maybe even a Dr Strangelove type ending. That shit would be funny.
Black American culture is essentially a mind virus affecting the world making people intentionally act dumber and less pro-social. I've seen the same in the UK and Ireland with poor whites it disgusts me that this type of culture is going global. I actually did the same myself in high school listening to Bay Area rappers and acting like I was from Oakland.
I'm not making that argument to be clear. I want net negative black migration. I would deport all of them today if I could. I'd drive them to the airport.
I came across today a movie trailer today which is/was The American Society of Magical Negroes. It really showed me how much the elite black class is grifting. The story apparently revolves around black people using magical powers to keep white people from chimping out and attacking black people. I'm not going to sit here and say black don't have grievances in America and against whites, but I don't think this whole type of thinking helps blacks. It makes it clear to me (and many other instances obviously) that the black elite and black academics define themselves against whiteness. Like they can't imagine blackness without white people in America. An America with no racism against blacks isn't possible to them, and the DEI and all that kind of stuff is necessary to keep them safe. This leaves many kinds of positions for more or less grifting that are basically only open to blacks and leave them a position to cry about racism and also benefit from it handsomely in terms of salary.
Working in Silicon Valley has given me the opportunity to work with a bunch of Nigerians that make insane salaries and live luxurious lifestyles. One thing I've noticed from them is that they don't think about the black/white distinction the same way. At my current company, the director of security is a Nigerian and half of the staff is Nigerian. Obviously they are hiring their own ethnics at a preferable rate, but I haven't seen one of them be part of the "Black at XYZ Company" groups or really care about that. They actually seem to be pretty happy with the current state of affairs in the US an have integrated pretty well.
I'm going to sound like a boomer conservative here, but it seems to me black elites in America seem obsessed with keeping the race divide front and center and their bloated salaries are a direct benefit to them. I don't think that black performance or lack thereof has anything to do with racism. I've never met a single normie person that is anti-black and hates them. I myself am pretty racist and HBD minded and I don't hate blacks at all. I find ghetto criminal blacks to be a nuisance and I don't like that, but even I would have to admit the vast majority of blacks are just normal people who want to live their lives and be happy. When I lived in Chicago, other than a few really unsafe areas I didn't mind walking around majority black neighborhoods.
It seems to me that there is an elite black class that was raised on the Civil Rights movement that can't move on. Their world view of racism is hopelessly outdated and most people would be fine hiring blacks and living near them. However, as currently constructed there is an elite black class that wants the status quo because they benefit from it Being a civil rights activist and a socila justice advocate is beneficial for these people instead of telling blacks they can succeed or fail on their own merits and to just be normal Americans.
/r/nbacircirclejerk is apparently everywhere
Once I saw his parents were academics from Palo Alto that did the hyphenated last name thing I knew exactly who they were. I grew up with people like this in the Bay Area. Boomer parents who were part of "The Movement" i.e. New Leftism in the 1960's and 70's. They are so irony pilled and into post modernism that they think that no traditions matter and are obsessed with rationality (sound familiar to Yud lol). This is very common among these kinds of people. For example, see the kind and queen of the Weather Underground raising that social justice obsessed DA that got recalled in SF. This is the kind of people that people really into the 1960's radical movements raise. I've seen it so many times in the Bay Area when I was growing up.
This is a plot in Ali G except they only accept hot refugees. Are we really at the point where Sasha Cohen skits are top level comments?
I meant they are the same in regards to how they are as employees. They aren't doing the things Indians from India do that drive people crazy.
I've been thinking about Indians today. In my current management position in tech, I deal with a lot of Indians. On one hand, Indians are some of my most trusted colleagues and friends who I rely on who have a CS degree from a legit US college like University of Colorado Boulder or Ohio State. These people are the best and I love working with them. These are people who went to school in the US and are legit. Not only that, but my favorite two teachers in college in math and CS were both Indians who taught CS.
On the other hand, the Indians we hire as support are absolute trash. You compare them to Philipno or Eastern European people we hire as support, and they are so bad. The funny thing is that the Indians that are in the US are our best people for support. Obviously, there is a massive selection bias, but what the hell is going on with this?
I actually have a real world example. I worked at a telecom company as a software engineer and most of the managers were former Army or Air Force people. The majority of the people in the US who were doing support are/were Indian. But these people were Indians in America and everyone liked them and they all eventually got promoted. But the overnight people in India were again absolute trash.
What is going on in India with their leadership? Why are Indians so bad in India but ones that come hear and get a taste of American corporate structure so good? I know this is probably a best fit for the questions thread, but this legitimately puzzles me.
And obviously Indian-Americans I don't include in this. They are just like all other Americans.
This is almost entirely non-whites and blacks and Muslims are massively over represented. Non-white people just see Jews as another type of white people oppressing POCs and bombing brown people. The ironic thing is that the Jewish community played a huge role in the Civil Rights movement and liberalizing immigration laws. Meanwhile, groups like the ADL spent all this time antagonizing the biggest supporters of Jews and Israel, which has eroded support for Israel and Jews on the right with young people like the Groypers and Nick Fuentes. Israel is about to have a massive legitimacy crisis in the coming decades if things don't change. If you go on the teachers subreddit, it's filled with millennial and gen-x teachers shocked that young people, especially non-whites, think the Holocaust was funny and make jokes about Hitler being based.
This is more of just some thoughts your post made me think of than officially a response.
The New Left were hardly punished for their crimes, then got to work in elite companies and universities and literally raise the next generation of these kinds of radicals who are destroying our cities today. Reagan was just a temporary ceasefire for these kinds of people, which allowed them to reorganize more effectively and create the situation we are in now. These are the kinds of people who celebrated a Black Panther Party member who bragged about raping white women as a political act. There was never hope of reasoning with these people.
The fact that this was allowed to happen for 60 years and people are only now freaking out because they are threatening Jews tell you all you need to know about what's been going on here. The country's plebs may have rejected The Movement of the 1960's, but many of the elites didn't and even participated in it with fond memories. If you get any regret out of them at all, it is just for the violence. They still stand by their political views for the most part, and all their views have more or less become main stream today in academia and the chattering class. The universities have finally just come up against something they will actually get push back and serious consequences for.
But make no mistake, nothing is stopping this train short of a coup. Nixon, Reagan, and Trump couldn't, so I don't know why anyone is thinking anything different will really happen in the future other than a continuation of what's happened since the late 1950's.
Did he speak up before this? These institutions have been running a sophisticated and deliberate anti-White demoralization campaign for decades. Presumably as a billionaire he could have said something 15 years ago and not been "cancelled". Curious how he only speaks out about it now. I'll need to see a lot more than that.
For one thing, have there been "anti-white" actions analogous to painting swastikas on buildings, attacking Jewish students, and breaking into Jewish buildings? Yes, after Floyd died and the subsequent madness.
If there was an analogous attack that killed 1000+ white Americans, subsequent student protests defending the terrorist, followed by institutional support for the terrorists, then there would be double a standard. But as it stands, I don't see an equivalence.
They attacked Israelis, not American Jews, who they are involved in a 80 year war with with atrocities on both sides. I'm no fan of radical Islam or Hamas (or Islam in general since I would pass a Muslim ban and ban Islam if could), but that is a huge distinction to make there.
Why am I supposed to care about this when anti-white and anti-Christian rhetoric has been coming out of these institutions for decades? It's especially hilarious considering Jews are between 20-25% of some of the student population of Ivies. Jews are also massively over represented in the faculty. I didn't hear a peep from them until Jews started being targeted.
I have to admit that Hamas has really succeeded here in terms or PR. I was initially very supportive of Israel (you can go back and check my post history) and my bias against Islam makes me extremely reluctant to support Muslims in any conflict. This has probably been exacerbated by the fact that I've been reading books about the 1960's and 1970's New Left radicals like the Weathermen (which I consider to be the proto-SJWs and anti-Whites of today) and realizing how many of these people were Jewish. And how many of the people who they were influenced by like Herbert Marcuse were also Jewish. Then you combine this with the contradictions of Zionism and Israel's behavior, and I really don't feel like I have any responsibility to care or speak up about any of this stuff.
Now if these big time Jewish donors want to add some protections for White Christians too and start pushing back against that narrative, then I might start listening. Until then, it's really not my problem. I just see different factions of people who are either my enemies or at best neutral towards me fighting it out and tearing each other apart. And again, that's really just not my problem or something I'm going to care about.
Which one of these is not like the other?
-
Hanukkah - an objectively non-important holiday in Judaism celebrated by an ethnic group that is less than 2% of the population in the US
-
Kwanzaa - fake holiday made up in the 1960's
-
Christmas, which according to polls approximately 85% of Americans celebrate. Furthermore, it was the "Christmas Season" until very recently, and Christianity is the religion of the vast majority of Americans now and historically.
If you need more evidence, there literally wasn't a "Happy Holidays" until after WW2: https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=%22happy+holidays%22&year_start=1800&year_end=2019&corpus=en-2019&smoothing=3
It really didn't even start being a major thing until the New Left and proto-SJWs started showing up in academia and pushing for inclusiveness and PC shit in the 1980's.
It doesn't start until after world war 2: https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=%22happy+holidays%22&year_start=1800&year_end=2019&corpus=en-2019&smoothing=3
Let's review. We have Kwanzaa (fake holiday made up in the 1960's), Hanukkah (a non-important holiday in Judaism celebrated by an ethnic group that is less than 2% of the population in the US), and Christmas, which according to polls approximately 85% of Americans celebrate. Furthermore, it was the Christmas Season until very recently, and Christianity is the religion of the vast majority of Americans now and historically. Yet now it is "The Holidays". Let's take this down to Sesame Street level logic here. One of these things is not like the other. It's really that simple. And the only reason it's even considered important is because it happens around the same time as Christmas, and some Jews wanted to have a holiday near Christmas and because it's useful as a narrative tool to make the cultural change to Holidays instead of Christmas.
It's frankly absurd it has as much cultural cache in the US as it does considering all those factors. There's almost as many Indian Americans as Jews. Diwali should be considered just as important as Hanukkah by this logic. It only makes sense since it happens during the holiday season. Diwali is the most important festival of the year in India after all.
It's a control group to compare with Jews who live in Christian majority countries showing that Jews only care about Hanukkah if they live in a place where Christmas is culturally dominant.
You think the average Christian knows anything about Christianity? I can assure you that they don't.
A lot of them do and you get responses like this:
Pretty much any online political person knows about this and they wave it away with all kinds of ridiculous rationalizations. Just search "13/50 reddit" and you'll see they don't even try to engage with it just find some way of deboonking it and moving on. Same with economics.
