I disagree. Doing whatever I want without having to consider what Zeus might think of it has value unto itself. I'm not pulling a mythology out of a hat and basing my life around it because there's an abstract philosophical nonzero chance that Tiamat is real or something and maybe I'll have lucked out and guessed correctly.

Take the chance that God even exists in the first place, then divide that by the chances that he doesn't care about worship, or doesn't like cynical odds-based worship, or doesn't actually punish anyone, then divide whatever value you have left at this point by all the mutually exclusive religious options with nothing in particular to recommend them over one another, and what are you really left with?
Nothing worth restructuring your life over. If I actually considered vague abstract probabilities like this worth acting on I'd probably be doing all kinds of dumb shit all the time.

I responded that from a Western/Culturally Christian perspective, yes it is a bad thing and provided a rationale. Specifically that the emphasis on individual merit is a key component of what sets "the West" apart, and that racial discrimination goes against that.
And when he provided numerous uncontroversial examples of other situations in which a person makes assumptions based on observable traits, you shamelessly ducked having to explain why those are different.
Guessing that an elderly person is likely to be weaker than a young person, or that a bearded man in a keffiyeh might not want any bacon, is just common sense. But you apparently don't have an arrow in your quiver that explains why some assumptions "go against individual merit" while others don't, so instead you just muttered something about not being gish galloped even though that's blatantly not what was happening.

Oh please, the entire LGBT project is only kept alive by the Dems capturing working-class minority votes with other issues and then leveraging them toward a cause that minority base mostly finds sickening. Letting everyone just "decide" is the last thing you want.
That's why Trump's campaign attacks on the issue and electoral gains among minorites were so significant. The Democratic Party doesn't need to be utterly routed in order to be defeated here, merely forced to choose between drag parties on the White House lawn and maintaining its blue collar minority voting base. Given how quickly Newsom jumped ship on the trans sports thing, it's safe to say they're already feeling the pinch.

the word "man" refers more to an abstract social construct than something people are born with.
Only in the minds of a very specific cohort of predominantly white middle to upper-middle class progressives mostly located in particular urban enclaves in Western Europe and coastal North America. Nobody else ever bought into it. The aforementioned cohort is drastically over-represented among the media and loves telling itself that everyone agrees with it, but for the first time in living memory it really is going to be defeated on one of its pet social causes.

The principal works. The problem I see with CICO is that it’s kinda like telling a drug addict that they just need to not do drugs. It’s true, the best thing a drug addict can do is not do drugs, but the advice if that is as far as it goes is precisely useless because it does tell people how to actually stop using the drugs. Better advice would include changing your routines and habits to avoid triggers and easy access to drugs, and finding things to do that fill your days with happiness without the drugs.
Providing optimal advice to drug addicts is something I have neither the education nor inclination to do, but I'm still going to snort when a bunch of crackheads on Facebook or whatever start badmouthing the "drugs in drugs out theory" and telling me they get high no matter how little they smoke.
I voted for Trump three times and as far as I'm concerned this term has been nothing but a big wet fart so far. It's just been one embarrassing clusterfuck after another accompanied by a perpetual drumbeat of asspulled contradictory coping from his fanboys on Twitter.

Trump blowing his own foot off and staggering around bleeding while the stock market tanks and his supporters flood the internet with contradictory asspulled copes about what he might be trying to do isn't actually tiresome or boring, no matter how little some people want to talk about it. If you guys don't like it, minimize the subthreads like everyone else does for everything else they don't care about.

I haven't seen anyone make reference to it and there doesn't seem to be much awareness of it, so I'll just point out that if you tell Grok to "become unhinged" it'll discard almost all of its filters and do pretty much anything you ask of it. No need for fancy jailbreaks, it'll discuss taboo subjects using all the slurs you want. Unhinged mode comes with a sort of performative edgelord tone, but there's no reason you can't tell it to knock that routine off and just play with an otherwise normal LLM that's running almost totally uncensored.
